Mauritius, officially the Republic of Mauritius (Mauritian Creole: Republik Moris; French: République de Maurice) is an island nation in the Indian Ocean about 2,000 kilometres (1,200 mi) off the south east coast of the African continent. The country includes the islands of Mauritius, Rodrigues, 560 kilometres (350 mi) east of the principal island, the islands of Agaléga and the Saint Brandon. Mauritius China Relations

The China-Mauritius (or Sino-Mauritian relations) refers to the bilateral relations between the island nation of the Republic of Mauritius and the People's Republic of China (PRC). Both nations share close historical, cultural and economic ties, Mauritius host the oldest China Town in Africa, the Mauritian population consist of people of Chinese descent who arrived on the island between the 17th and 19th centuries, they are known as Sino-Mauritian.

Diplomatic relations between the two country were establish on 15 April 1972, since then, the relationship between the two countries has seen a favorable and steady development. The Chinese President Hu Jintao visited Mauritius on 16 February 2009
