Consort Shu

Consort Shu (1728 - 1777) was a concubine of the Qianlong Emperor of the qing dynasty.

Consort Shu was born of the Manchu Yehenara clan. Her personal name is unknown. Her father was Yongshou (永綬), a Vice Minister (侍郎). Lady Yehenara entered the Forbidden Palace in 1741 and became a concubine of the Qianlong Emperor. She was given the rank of Noble Lady (貴人). Later that year she was promoted to the status of Imperial Concubine (嬪), with the title Shu (舒). In 1749 Lady Yehenara was elevated to the rank of Consort Shu (舒妃). Two years later she gave birth to the Qianlong Emperor's tenth son, who died prematurely around the age of two. She died in 1777 and was interred in the Yuling Mausoleum in the Eastern Qing Tombs.
