Liu Xi (western han)

Liu Xi (simplified Chinese: 刘喜; traditional Chinese: 劉喜; pinyin: Liǘ Xǐ, died 193 BC) was an elder brother of Emperor Gaozu of Han. He was made Marquess of Hexin after han dynasty established. In 201 BC, he was made Prince of Dai. After defeated by Xiongnu forces in 200 BC, Xi was demoted to Marquess of Heyang. In 195 BC, his son Liu Pi was made Prince of Wu. Xi died in 193 BC and was bestowed the posthumous name Qing (Chinese: 頃).
