Chang'an Airlines Co., Ltd. (长安航空) was an airline based in Xian, Shaanxi , the People's Republic of China. It operated scheduled, passenger and cargo services within Shaanxi province and to neighbouring provinces.
Its main base was Xi'an Xianyang International Airport, with a hub at Yinchuan Hedong Airport. In Nov 29, 2007, it merged with Shanxi Airlines and China Xinhua Airlines to form Grand China Air, a subsidiary of Hainan Airlines.
History
The airline was established on 24 December 1992 and started operations on 1 June 1993. Hainan Airlines owns a 73.51% stake in Changan Airlines.
