On september 23, H.E.Mr.Ghazi Aridi, Lebanon Minister of public work and transport met China Development Bank (CDB)delegation, led by Mr. Zheng Zhijie, Vice President of CDB. Both two sides exchanged views about bilateral cooperations in the field of the financing of Lebanese infrastructure project. The meeting was accompanied by H.E.Mr.Ambassador Wu Zexian, and Mrs. Gehua, Commercial Counsellor of Chinese Embassy in Beirut.


On september 13, Headquarters of United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) awarded honor to more than 300 soldiers of the 8th Chinese Peacekeeping Engineering Contingent and the 7th Chinese peacekeeping medical team to Lebanon. H.E. Mr.Ambassador WU Zexian and Military Attache Mr. Colonel CHEN Yong attended the ceremony. In his speech, the Deputy Force Commander Mr. Brigadier Santi Bonfanti spoke highly of Chinese Peacekeeping troops' professional work and spirit of utter devotion, praising them as the model of all peacekeeping troops in Lebanon.


On September 12, H.E. Mr. Adnan Mansour, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of Lebanon met with Chinese Arms Control Delegation, who attended as observer the Second Meeting of States Parties (2 MSP) to the Convention on Cluster Munitions taking place in Beirut, accompanied by H.E. Mr. WU Zexian, Ambassador of China in Lebanon. Minister Adnan Mansour expressed his warm welcome and appreciation to the participation of Chinese Delegation in the Meeting, and hoped China can make larger contribution to disarmament and assistance to the victims of war. Mr. KANG Yong, Chief of Chinese Delegation, deputy Director of Arms Control Department of Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, presented Chinese positions on the relevant issues and the assistance offered by Chinese government to the victims of war, on saying that China will continue to play a positive role in this field.
